If you are setting up a new Martin colony, the Purple Martin Dawnsong tape will help you lure in the young male Martins looking for a permanent residence. It is known that the male Martin will sing a Dawnsong every morning before sunrise to try to attract other Martins to the colony. This tape is a recording of that Dawnsong.

* Recorded by Dr. Eugene S. Morton of the National Zoo/Smithsonian Institution for the Library of Natural Sounds at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.
* Playing time: 60 minutes (30 minutes/side).
* Especially useful when used along with decoys.
* Play one or two hours before dawn for best results.
* Can also be played any time of day during the first two to four months upon arrival of migrating Martins.
